Murad Jamil brings his 30 years of experience in Architecture and design in founding MJA and is currently the Chief Executive and Principal Architect of the organization. With his insights in space design, site planning, space utilization and interior design, he has developed a keen understanding of modern architectural challenges and finds practical, feasible solutions to cope with them.Murad Jamil has worked with some of the giant industry players in Pakistan. He has a lifetime of achievements studded with multiple corporate positions and social roles. His work is deeply rooted in the traditional values of architecture, seasoned with the modern trends in design and always customized to his client's needs.Growing up Murad Jamil reflected his artistic interests early on. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the Dawood College of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, in 1985 and went to the University of California, Los Angeles, to earn his Master of Architecture degree in 1991. He joined the Bechtel Corporation in Los Angeles, the highlight of which was the 'Euro Disney' project with the 'Walt Disney Imagineering' in Los Angeles, California.He returned to Pakistan in 1993 and joined the architecture practice of the renowned Naqvi & Siddique in Islamabad. In only 5 years, he gained enough insight into Pakistan's Architecture and construction industry to start a venture of his own. Thus, MJA was founded in 1998 in Islamabad.Founding MJA was only a start that lead to a glorious future. It was under MJA that Murad Jamil earned a position as the Chairman of the Board of Architectural Education, Institute of Architects Pakistan, from 2012 to 2015.Currently, he is serving as a member of the Board of Studies of two architecture schools in Pakistan. He is a Trustee of 'The KBA Centre for Architecture Research & Education.' He is also a Co-Founder with architect Yasmeen Lari 'ADMAN' (Architects Disaster Management Network).After his corporate achievements, adding his social responsibilities to the view, he also opted to be on the Board of Governors of two NGOs, 'Mashal Association' and 'Trust for Rural Uplift & Community Education.' He is also the Founding Member of the 'International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism' (Pakistan Chapter).Paying tribute to his late father, the poet-writer Jamiluddin Aali, Murad Jamil produced a biopic, 'Khwab ka Safar' (Journey of a Dream). The documentary captures his father's life, achievements and undying belief in the vast potential of Pakistan and its people.Murad Jamil remains forever grateful to his father for inculcating in him hope, aspiration and love for Pakistan. He aims to take on his father's legacy and urge the Pakistani youth to explore its potential and take the name of the country forward.

Managing the projects timeline, directing the workflow, dealing with the clients and supervision of the site to ensure that the project plan is being executed successfully are the major roles that our head of projects performs. He received an MBA in Project Management and brings his 40 years of industry insight and experience to MJA to take every project from paper to reality.

Jaleel started his career at MJA to assist with the procurement, client relations, workflow management and site supervision. He has been a dedicated and responsible member of the firm who has been working diligently and efficiently in his role to make our design and turn-key projects a success every time.

Asya brings her two decades of experience in Architecture and Design industry to her role as a BIM Coordinator and Designer at MJA. She is the team lead and employs her project management, planning and solution finding skills to execute projects of varying scales and sizes. She started her career in 2002 and specializes in structural architecture and MEP. She adds her versatile approach to design functional spaces with a class. Her brilliance has been shining since her academic years where she earned a Gold Medal, Faculty Top Position and Silver Medal in her class at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology. She is also a winner of Mehdi Ali MIRZA Award and a nominee for Aizaz-e-Sabqat Award.

Rimsha Mehmood

Architect | Interior Designer

Rimsha considers architecture a beautiful amalgamation of various forms of art, allowing one to explore and learn much more than brick and mortar. With her passion for art and design, Rimsha experienced multiple fields of professions while testing her mettle. This gave her the opportunity to work as an interior designer and project manager and learn 3D design, graphic design and animation. Her specialty is landscape design which also reflected in her thesis on Lahore Zoo. Her formal career began only 2 years ago, but she had already developed a knack for architecture while in her O- Levels and has since completed about 4 corporate projects on modern workspace design and open floor plans. Receiving a Bachelor of Architecture from Comsats, Rimsha has completed different courses in Site Planning, Storytelling & Presentation skills, and Architecture & Building Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Leeds, and Tongji University.

Jalal Khan

Architect

Working for 3 years in the architecture and design industry, Jalal Khan has managed to make his mark in a short span of time. His interest in varying styles, minute details and site planning led him to accomplish various residential and commercial projects. His idea of turning the smallest details to fit the big picture has led him to create purposeful designs and space-efficient spaces. His major accomplishment during this time has been a commercial factory with over 200,000 sq. ft. of Ancillary buildings. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) degree from Taylor's University Malaysia and is set to render his skill and creative flair here in Pakistan. He is part of a studio team with two other architects at MJA.
